I sometimes enjoy reading the SMPA site, although I must say there has been no action in quite a while. It's good to see they're 'stepping up' their efforts though.

Spitting seems to be worse than ever in Seoul. It is not limited to the street. It is on subway platforms, stairwells, even the floor of buses.
What an impression that must leave on visitors to your country. I wonder why there is not an effort to rid the country of such a barbaric and savage act. Then again, I am sure the police men and women themselves are guilty of it. Dae-han-min-gook!

Sorry for late reply.

I am sorry for what you have suffered concerning spitting. Like you said,
they are causing troubles in streets.

I understand what you want and tht police efforts to prevent those violations are not enough. But we are stepping up those efforts despite limited resources.

If there is any evidence (like pictures) for the violations, you can directly file a formal report to any nearest police station.

Thanks.

So next time you almost step in some spit, be sure to take a photograph and drop it off at the nearest police station so justice can be done.

Seems eerily similar to a previous reply:

Under the Korean law, all drivers of motorbikes should wear helmets and Motorbikes over the capacity of 50cc(relatively small) should have number plates.

Those template responses sure come in handy.

A few months back that site endured a major campaign of vandalism, and I could tell the exact point when they decided that page was not worth having around.
