|
|
Hey Guys,
I've just arrived and now realise a PC is going to be pretty important if I want to keep myself sane.
So, is there some great place to buy one in Busan?
As long as it can stream Colbert, I can play poker, rip DVDs etc then it's all good. I'll leave FPSs to the PC Bang.
So what'd be a reasonable price and where's the deals at?
(Supplementary: I've heard laptops are expensive but would the prices be close enough to think about getting one?)
Any help much appreciated. |

You could check at HiMart for a pre-built system, would likely meet your reqs. If you are a bit more on the enthusiast side, you can build your own or spec your own system at one of the computer markets.
Computer markets in Busan:
1. Gaya (subway station #221) across the street from Homeplus in Gaya.
2. Myeongnyun-dong (subway station #126) across the street from the subway station.
Additionally you could check the classifieds at pusanweb.com, often used systems for sale there. |

Do either of those computer markets also have consumer electronics stores in/around them? I'd like to do some mp3 player shopping, maybe browse for an HD camcorder as well. If not, are there any markets in Busan where you can get that stuff? I'm here this weekend, so it would be convenient... |

It looked like the place by Gaya (actually one stop further to the west) opposite homeplus, was mostly computer components. All I can suggest is hi-mart etc, but they're not very big. Probs not as big as you get in Seoul. And I haven't seen any camcorders..... but I've hardly looked around at all. Here's hoping someone with a bit more knowledge pops in.... |
