I relearned what I already knew on my trip. My card is good anywhere in the world. I mean shit, that's why it says 'Global' on it and has the Plus logo on the back. Getting the internet part set up is something I need an English speaker to do, though. I'll go to another branch tomorrow and see if I can do it. I got the card with the numbers on it today, but I still have to get to a computer and get it all set up. My leave date is fast approaching, and I'm pretty sure I won't be coming back here anytime soon. Knowing the incompetents at my college, though, I'll have to fly back here in the future to sign a paper or clear up some other *beep*-up they pull. I hope KEB is a lot better than those at my former employer.

Maybe you should go to the KEB in Itaewon as they spek English there and are able to communicate well with their customers.

Yes, please keep us updated on all of this. Mostly, what important information is needed to set up this internet banking. And then what info is needed to keep access to it later on.

Tobias, why does it piss you off about this site? I certainly don't know the answer to your question, or I would have posted accordingly. I can't get answers to lots of my questions. I just have to figure it out as I go. Lately, it has been some tax issues that are bothering me, but I could find myself in the same position as you in about 6 more months depending on the exchange rate. I too hope you keep us updated!

What pisses me off is the lack of good, useful information. When the old vets go home, they take their useful tips with them.

If you're into reading ad hominem attacks over stupid shit that matters for nothing, there is still plenty of that here, though.

I got my account set up today in Busan. I used the branch near the SaSang subway stop. The manager took me to a computer and walked me through it all. All I really needed was my ARC number, passport, and the card with secret numbers on it they give you for setting up the account. After I got it set up with the manager's help, the guy gave me a handout with the directions for setting it up in English. A little late, but I got it. It was pretty straightforward with his help.
