I'm flying out of Gimpo Airport in a few days. Never been there before. Anyone know the fastest way getting there from Itaewon? Subway or take a bus from Express Bus Terminal? How much time would I need to allow before boarding my flight at 9.20am?

Or would taxi be the best option? Tried searching around on the internet but couldn't find any useful information

Subway is easy, but the bus will be faster outside of rushhour, I think.

The subway will be cheaper, and including transfer at Dong jeok (I think) will take an hour?

But the downside of the subway will be the transfer. You will be lugging your suitcase through the transfer station.

No subway maps in Itaewan? It's so easy...Itaewan to GongDoek, 4 stops and then ride it all the way to Gimpo. Done. Best guesstimate...40-45 min. If you are flying within Korea, they usually say check-in 1 hr. before take off. International, 2 hrs. before. Enjoy.

What are you bringing? I have tackled this bus, train, subway issue several times. If you have stuff that is easy to carry, then do subway. You can put the stuff on a rack area (JUST DON'T FORGET IT, get it all ready the stop before you need to get out).

The bus is good, but not all terminals are near subway stations. I haven't seen an obvious bus terminal around Itaewon station, just stops. You would need to know the right stop. Also, the buses are tight, no racks and you'll need an extra hand when you are standing so you don't get thrown around when the bus driver decides to break at the last minute. I try to avoid local buses.

The bigger buses at the terminals would be better if you did take a bus. In this case, you might be best off paying for a taxi to the terminal. I did this last weekend, and it sure beat the subway since I was trying to bring a computer and plastic containers in a 3 foot suitcase (tall thing lol).

The trains are compact like the subway but have nicer seats. There isn't as much space as the subway, but there is more compared to the local buses.

About 20000- 25000 won if there is light traffic.
