If you're not looking for something flashy, this should suffice...

It's kind of annoying to type in the text box your range of values, so you should open up the macros, get into VB and insert your low and maxRands. I chose 1-40 and now all I have to do is click on Random Number.

You can also speed up or slown down the randomize by changing the value for Sleep (#). I have mine at 800 because it's slow enough for the kids to see their number going by, which kind of freaks them out because they usually don't want to be chosen.

THIS that I've used and can be found on our software page of teacher's tools, ( Software 4 Teachers ) might do the trick. You can use in various ways. Lots of other spinners etc there....

I used the random student picker on Barryfunenglish today. I just used their student numbers. You can save different classes.

You're much welcome. Just trying to keep with my philosophy of giving teachers the goods - things they can use in their classrooms directly. But some days I think I'm turning into a TEFLpedia Smile

But I urge teachers to ask away and keep getting the pearls they and most importantly their students, deserve.

Cheers,

DD
