Was just wondering if anyone has had experience complaining to gmarket about a seller and what action gmarket can take against them.

Here's the story:
I ordered a nice queen size bed last Tuesday and slept patiently on the sofa in my new place till it arrived on Sunday. Unfortunately they didn't bring the little matching bedside table and instead of the nice latex mattress I'd ordered and paid for, they brought the crappy standard mattress that comes free with the bed and is as hard as rock.

A few hours later the delivery guy turned up again with the table and promised the new mattress would arrive the next day. It wasn't a big problem, just meant one more night on the sofa as I didn't want to sleep on the other mattress if it had to be returned as new.

Monday morning and the guy didn't call (delivery companies in this country are wont to do this to check what time you will be around). I waited till mid afternoon then we called him. "Oh sorry no we can't come today, we'll be there 9 am tomorrow morning."

Next day at 9am, nothing. Again we wait till the afternoon to call them and it's, "Will tomorrow evening be ok? We can't do today". Well no it f***ing won't be ok but we decided to keep the peace and instead asked why they hadn't come that day or the previous one despite saying they would to which they pulled out this blinding excuse: "we forgot". Brilliant.

Now it's Wednesday, I got home from work at about 5 and and again they hadn't called us today so we called them to ask what time they'd be coming this evening. Apparently unaware or unconcerned about what they were doing for my blood pressure they replied, "This evening's impossible I'm afraid. What time do you want us to come tomorrow?"

So now they've been told to figure out exactly what compensation they are going to offer us tomorrow and that if, heaven forbid, they manage to screw up again we will keep the bed and get a full refund and it's one more night on the sofa for me.

So sure I could have gone for the refund earlier but here's the thing. When I eventually get what I paid for it's going to be a really nice bed so I don't want to send it back. And we could have pestered them more but my girlfriend who's been dealing with them works in a university and been massively overworked with the start of the new semester this week so hasn't had time (my Korean is reasonable but not good enough to get my point over forcibly enough in this case). And above all why the hell should we be chasing them, why can't they just give me what I paid for when they say they will.

So what I want to do after I've finally got my stuff is complain, whine and squeal (much like I have been in this post Very Happy ) as much as possible to gmarket (and I mean more than just writing them a shoddy review which nobody will take any notice of) because ultimately I want other buyers to steer clear of them and for them to lose business because of their incompetence. Yes, I am bitter.

Get your product, demand a refund and not give them back their shit, or wait and wait to do that until after you have bought a new one from someone else. I dont' know what the laws are for posting fake items but it may be possible to post a fake item under a name like theirs, post links to their site and basically never respond, then trash the account. I don't know if that would work because of registration etc.

If there are reviews etc, you could also copy and paste a response on every one of their pages to show how annoyed you are.

Give full feedback on gmarket (and a nice low score), and have your gf write a full explanation. They will be pissed, but it will be there for all future customers to see. Just to really wind them up, post it in English and Korean (with the gf's help) Smile
