I'm in the States, looking to teach for a public institution in Korea. Ideally, I would like to start at the end of May/beginning of June so that, if I get into an M.F.A. program here in the States, I'll have three months to get ready for grad school/see my friends and family/etc.

I've been looking around the threads for a couple of hours, and I've seen mentions of EPIK, GEPIK and SMOE hiring outside of the September-August schedule they post on their websites.

However, SMOE and EPIK don't even have their online application available right now. All three sites seem to take a firm stance that their orientation program is in August, and new teachers start in September.

So do the three hire year-round? If so, do I have to talk to the right recruiter to get a job? If so, where do I find these recruiters, which websites do I check out?

Thanks to all of you out there already doing this for being willing to help us newbies out!

I got hired by gangwondo's EPIK to start at the end of december, taught the winter camp and now am into the school year... So I'm sure there are a few odd positions but definitely most of the work would be right before the start of the school year.
