Help me decide.

I have a choice of either to be engraved onto my certificate.

Which one signifies more an air of authority, sophistication
and erudition ?

What say you ?

It depends. One is (supposedly) geared towards teaching English in a country where English is not the native language, and the other for teaching English to non-English speakers in a country where English is a native language. From what I've seen, only the most in-depth of courses really have much of a difference in what they teach.

In a word: neither. CELTA is probably the best one there is, but takes significantly more time and money.

Look at who's accrediting it rather than worry about the initials. Cambridge CELTA and Trinity College London TESOL are the big guns. CELTA takes it on the kudos I suppose, but neither are a walk in the park. Ultimately, there's very little between them.

Technically a TEFL would be more appropriate for Korea. However, they are looked at as the same anyway. I took a TEFL class and they would have put either on my cert.
