I'm looking for a 250 cc motorcycle, preferably the naked style. I've found some for sale on the Korean sites, but they are newer and pricier. Something in the 1-1.4 range is what I'm looking for. She doesn't have to be pretty or young, just functional.

You don't have much choice when it comes to 250cc models. The only bikes I'm aware of are the Hyosung 250 Comet or the 250 Mirage. You said naked, but what style? Cruiser or racer?

I recently bought a 2003 Hyosung Mirage from a Korean site and it was in the 1-1.4 price range. Actually most bikes I looked at were. They may show a higher asking price but with the state of the economy and the season you can get lower than what they ask. I was able to bring my price down 200,000 won.

Not sure what sites you have been looking at but I recommend these

i have a 1993 Suzuki Bandit 250. it is a naked bike, and about one of the fastest 250s youll find.

it is a lot of fun to ride, but it is time to get rid of it, and move on.

let me know if youre still interested in a bike

im in seoul, and willing to make a deal.

Hi, I have a Mirage 250 (2004) that is in awesome condition and quite a nice bike to ride and look at. Everything is in great shape, tires are great, brakes are new, it has a strong healthy engine, the bike has a custom flat black paint job so it looks really sweet.
I will give it a wash today and get some photos for you if your still interested. However I will be asking 1.8mil WON for the bike. But considering that other Mirage 250's on the websites r going for 1.4-1.7, this bike is definitely worth the extra 100-200k WON. I live in Incheon but I could bring the bike over to Anyang station to give you a look if you really are serious about the buy.
The bike will come with a motorcycle lock, cover, and if u want it a helmet(don't know if you want a used one though??)

Cheers

Durtee...was the bike already painted when you purchased it or did you get it done yourself? I was thinking about painting mine and wondering what it would run me.

cheers

dfunk - i bought it from the shop already painted. Apparently they got the Mirage in October, and in November the shop owner/workers were bored so they ripped the bike apart, rebuilt the engine, gave it a new paint job(engine block painted as well) got all new components and tires, and put it back together.
I will go back and ask them how much they had it done for..but I would expect it to be somewhat cheap.
I'm just waiting for my friend to get off for lunch break so I can get the pictures

the suzuki bandit has been regularly maintained and since it is older i am only going to ask 1.5, but i will take a deal, and since you are looking for the 1-1.4 i can make that sacrifice, if the bike can give you the same pleasure i got from it!

Hi Nathan,

I have a Comet 250cc for sale if you are still interested. I have had it for a year and paid 1.5m for it. I would be willing to let it go for 1m if you like the look of it.

Excellant condition, oil changes regularly and kept clean and in good order. I have had 160km/h out of it and it has a great pick up speed, all in all a great bike.

You will have to give me a few days to get pics as Im off to Busan this evening and going straight from school.

I dont have a license, have never had a license and touch wood have never had a problem. You do take a risk getting caught yes, but this is Korea at the end of the day and the police aren't generally what you would call pro-active.

Let me know if you are still looking and I will send you some photos.

Many thanks

Martin
