I'm thinking about ordering some creatine, but was wondering if anyone has had any trouble with getting it through customs before. I don't want to order it and have it rejected by customs.

ok, i get creatine, protein, glutamine, nitric oxide, as well as a number of other things shipped here from the states. u can get it in, but there r a few catches.

first, customs only allows u to get 6 bottles of any medicine or food supplement in at a time. so it can be 6 bottles of creatine (regardless of size or weight), or 3 protein 3 creatine, or whatever combination u can come up with. but ur limit per shipment is 6.

also, if u order 2 shipments within a few days or even a week or two they'll flag it and reject it. its ok though, u can still get it. watch ur fedex tracking info on the site, if it says "Waiting to clear customs" for more than a day call fedex usa, they will give u the number to fedex korea. call fedex korea and explain the situation, usually then they move it out of the rejection bin and get it to u in a day or two.

also, if the weight is over 20lbs or the cost of the package was over $150 or $175 (i cant remember which) before the cost of shipping then theres a customs fee of about 20,000W i believe. the heavier the package or the more expensive the cost before shipping, the higher the fee.

but there ya go. its legal to get that stuff here, dont let anyone tell u differently. make sure they ship with fedex so u can watch the tracking info. if it does get hung up in customs, u may have to call fedex korea a few times to push them to get it through. ive ordered tons of stuff and occasionally get a package stuck. it takes a phone call or two to get it through. thankfully they all speak english pretty well and r all cute sounding young ladies, so work ur charm on them and get it here faster, haha.

good luck.

p.s. what creatine r u considering? i go with Higher Power Micronized Creatine. its just as good as any other brand but its like 20 bucks for a 1,000 grams. cant beat that.

I order from this site: http://www.mass119.com

If you can't read Korean, the workout supplements are under 헬스보충제 on the left hand menu. The advantage is the products are shipped from within Korea, so it's faster and a lot cheaper.

Prices are higher these days, but that's because of the exchange rate.

The catch is you need to have a Korean registration number to order from this site.

Thanks for the info eIn07912. I'm thinking about getting Cell Tech Creatine, a buddy recommended it.

Thats good to know. I like bodybuilding.com because it was easier to order off of. But if I can order from mass119 by email, then shipping would be much less of a hassel.

all these workout related questions just prove Korea is like prison. A bumch of men who can't get laid and do 1500 push-ups a day.

almost anything by Cell-Tech is bound to be overpriced by AT LEAST 25%.

they're clever marketers though (all that "science" claim and stuff Wink

they also have to pay big bucks to all the big name bodybuilders that pitch their products. (especially the current reigning Mr. O's, those are their faves)

I've tried their Creatine in the past, and I kind of liked it.

BUT - I've now come to question whether Cell Tech in particular and frankly creatine in general is even worth paying for.

the scientifically proven difference (about 7%) is really minimal.

i get what ur saying bogey666, its important to maintain some skepticism. not everything these supplement companies sell is worth it.

but creatine works. i did it years ago and it changed my physique. i got on it again a month or so ago and i blew up quick. as long as u load correctly and dose properly it will work. and the brand really doesnt matter, creatine is creatine.

as far as the current mr. o, or the reigning iron man, all the guys at the arnold, even some of the bigger mma guys, they all juice. roids is far more prevalent than people think. watch the documentary "Bigger, Stronger, Faster*" Jay Cutler, one of two kings in the bodybuilding world admits to roid use. the human body can literally only grow so large naturally. if a guy even looks like he juices, he probably does.

in no way do i support the juice. the short term goods cant outweigh the long term effects. but just beware when u see those insanely ripped guys selling celltech, or cellmass, or hydroxycut, or anything else really, thats not how they got that big and u wont either.

hey, I hear you. That said, I've also used it once, was happy with it, but having been in Korea now I have not been using it, and have exceeded my creatine results without using it. (I'm infamous for taking years and years off from lifting before returning)

yes, it has taken a little longer than the last time aroud, but I'm there.
personally I think it works well as a placebo and as a motivational tool - you are more likely to lift and lift hard if you "think" you are taking something that helps.

I think logically speaking a protein supplement/powder makes more scientific sense, but whatever works for you!
who knows. I may get some creatine for myself too - I'm trying to "break out", so to speak into a bigger/badder new bogey666 world Smile

and I completely agree with u re juice. All those guys juice. Every single one of them and always have. I'd juice if I were a pro bodybuilder or a professional athlete with others around me juicing... but otherwise... no need.

and frankly, I don't want to get THAT big. (and without roids you can't!)

If you're going to take creatine you might as well just do steroids. They are both unhealthy and both probably cause disease, so you might as well get the most results and go with steroids.

Wikipedia begs to differ:

Quote:
The use of creatine in healthy individuals is generally considered safe. Studies have not yet been able to demonstrate either long-term or short term creatine supplementation result in adverse health effects
