I saw some cheap flights to LAX on Canada and wondered if anyone had flown it before. Compare to Korean Air or United or Delta.

Air Canada.

About the same level of service as United so... not really much service at all. I've had generally very good experiences with Air Canada on international flights, but the flight attendants tend to be older and not terribly attentive. Besides that, I've found the food/seats/entertainment to be good, nothing to complain about.

I have a similar opinion. AirCanada is good on international flight, but not great on domestic ones. You're going to have an international flight, so go for it.

However, if you ask to compare with Korean Air, then it's different. In my opinion, ANY North American airline has a lot to learn fron the Asian ones with regard to service and comfort.

They could learn a lot about human rights and ageism.

It's all fun to make fun of the grandmothers working for Air Canada, but they are a result of a company with equality policies.

I didn't make fun of anyone, the age comment was more in relation to the fact that it seems like they've been doing this for a long time, and I found them to be kind of 'burnt out' and disinterested.

I flew Air Canada to Vancouver & back last month. It was pleasant.

I usually opt for Singapore Air for better meals & service but the cost difference this time was too big to warrant it. After all, its just 10 or 12 hours out of my life.

Aging flight attendants on Air Canada can be a concern. I've met some grumpy ones maybe a bit bitter there are no upward career options for them, but for the most part they are decent people just making a living.

I have flown Air Canada internationally about ten times in my life, 4-5 times to Korea and the rest to UK. I seem to remember them being reasonable to Uk and grumpy as heck flying to Seoul. Maybe it's something to do with all the illiterate Korean grannies who stand up during take-off and landing, ajosshis smoking in the can, the general lack of following of airline rules.

I have also flown Air Canada Jazz more than a dozen times. In recent years, the service has really been cut back. Not quite to the level of Ryanair, but not far off.

last year I had a really interesting chat with one of the older AC attendants. I was in the back stretching my legs and she must have been bored (I also gathered from her attitude she was trying to piss off one or more of her coworkers) because we struck up a conversation and chatted for at least twenty minutes. she was european, and her english was accented. she said that everyone she knew hated going on the Seoul/Toronto flights because, well, of all the Koreans, how none of them ever understood english and how obnoxious they generally all were. I told her, "yeah, you only have to put up with it for half a day at a time." she wanted to know what there is to do in Seoul because she said whenever they have to spend a few days there, no one can find anything cool to do, and she said she had thought it would be like Tokyo or HK or another major capital but she was really disappointed.
