great episode. the "eight" storyline was confusing to follow, but i think i sussed it out. did tyrol really think he would get away with it? was boomer going to kill athena before her husband walked into the room?

kara's story was predictable, but well-executed

When Helo walked in, Athena was already tied up unconcious in the toilet.

So no she wasn't going to kill her. Why tie up a corpse?

it did seem sort of like a filler episode, dinnit? i wont say wasted. this whole season 4.5 has been good

I'm not so sure.

There's a 3 hour finale right next. I don't think anything here was by accident. The Boomer Hera bonding will probably be critical. And abandoning the Galactica is worth a whole episode, no matter where it falls in the series.

I'm guessing that in the finale, Sam will jump the battlestar right into the cylon nest. Foreshadowing is in. (Hera playing smash ups with a toy battlestar.)

it's the first part of a three-part episode, so you shouldnt think of it as a whole unto itself. its setting us up for the big actioner with all (or most) of the answers. and yes, i need to see roslin eating sushi. it makes it that much more poignant. the devil's in the details. we get to see just how much theyve lost, and how much like us they are. it gives it more emotional resonance. the little moments are just as important as the big moments. maybe you should go watch starship troopers again if you need an action fix
