Can someone walk me through switching an E2 from one employer to the other?
My situation: I've been with a university on an E2 for 2 months and want to leave and teach at another company. What is the process to do this? |

You have to get a letter of release from your current employer and then take that along with the other pertinent paperwork from your new employer to immigration. |

What if they refuse to give a letter of release? |

Then you quit, book a ticket out of the country, hand in your ARC on the way out, come back, get a fresh tourist stamp in your passport, and start the E2 process from scratch, including criminal check and medical check. |

I second what chevro1et said- I just got that same info straight from Daegu Immi four days ago. The only thing I would add is that the employer you leave might say bad things about you that a prospective employer might hear. Depending on the situation, that may or may not make them hesitant to hire you.. |
