Why don't you make this a poll question?
I'm afraid I would have to answer "yes."
In fact, I almost became homeless a second time at the time I came to Korea.
My landlord prosecuted me for getting behind in my rent, and the court session was scheduled just one day after my plane flight.

I feel OP could had shared his/her story before eliciting ours.

Yes, of course! I didn't have rich parents who helped me through college and the job markets been very tight since about 2001. A car breakdown caused me homelessness since I lost a job. I had a car breakdown, couldn't afford the asking $300 to tow to prevent impound, it got impounded, the police made me pay a tow fee/fine of $500 at which point I signed the car over. And it was Winter...

Since I was out of my car and rent money, which I believe was a fuel pump inside the gas tank failed, I couldn't go to work. I was in the soup line and shelter asking for help in February 9 months after college graduation back in 2005. I was only a $8/hour telemarketing mortgage refinance. There just weren't much available nor much money for us little wheels to make. There's my story. Hopefully never again!

I spend about 6 weeks living at different friends' places when I was between jobs. I guess I could have stayed at a cheap yeogwon but I really would have been scraping it tight.

Damn...that's horrible. Really makes you appreciate life more, doesn't it?

I was homeless for a couple months, but fortunately could afford to stay in hostels and then with my parents.

I've been homeless many times. It was ok when I was young but if I were homeless again I might lose it completely.
