Optically excellent.
Includes hood.

actually, tons of resources can be found on the lens if you google it.
canon 28-70mm f/2.8 l review will give you a nice review and some test shots used with the lens. this particular piece of glass is discontinued, but it's very well reviewed based on what i've read about it. |

| F2.8 zoom lenses are great. The L series typically has an excellent reputation. Once you try a lens this fast you never want a slower zoom again. |
