I have a bunch of English language paperbacks which I've either read, or will never read (I'm looking at you, Tony Parsons) and was wondering if the forum knows of any second-hand book shops in Seoul where I could trade them in for something, well, less cr@p.
Thanks in advance,
me.

You'll have to leave a message for him, he doesn't spend much time in the shop these days. Tell them to write down a note for him. He'll get it. And call him a cunt for me too. Razz

M, why don't you just list what you have on the buy/sell forum, but ask for swaps instead?

Since you didn't explain why and I have had nothing but good experiences there, how about we just call you one?

Hmmm...I'm conflicted.
On the one hand I'd like to meet Chris and trade some books.
On the other hand I feel bound to do as the forum demands and stroll right in there effing and geffing.
Oh, what to do?
Can anyone tell me WHY I should cuss him out?
Does he only sell Alan Titchmarsh novels? Does he rip important pages out the books before selling them?
Thanks again,
me.

P.S. There's a buy/sell forum? (Blushes.) Thanks RedRob.

You come to the Wise Forum for advice, then have the audacity to question the same illustrious band of...well, misfits if you must know.

Martinida,

The stuff we wrote about cussing him out is an inside joke that Chris will laugh at. Long story, but rest assured he sells all the good stuff. Plus, you'll be in a store that's run and feels like a bookstore back home. Totally relaxed atmosphere, but I'm not knocking the buy/sell forums.

It's just for me, buy sell forums always require that the other person gets off his ass and does his part. When you go into the store - you get whatever his price is for the trade in - HOWEVER, there's the immediate satisfaction of being able to pick up another used book I might want to read.

Online is okay too, just my 2 cents.
