Check out the details below that RyanInKorea posted.

If you do make it to Hyehwa, support the local kebab guy: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=146083&highlight=kebabs%2C+hyehwa

Check out the Irish Association of Korea website (www.iak.co.kr). Here is a copy/paste of the event you're talking about:

Saturday 14th of March

Outdoor Festival (rain or shine) 11am to 5pm
Marronnier Park, Daehagno (Hyewha station line 4, exit 2)
Irish traditonal, folk and rock music groups
Irish dancing
Korean dance
Korean rock group
Food and Drink
Prizes for best costume

There is also a party from 7pm-1:30am at the Dublin Terrance Irish Pub in Gangnam. It's seems that it's 50,000 won for an all you can drink (including Guiness) and all you can eat entry ticket. They are also showing the Scotland/Ireland rugby match at 2am when drinks and food go back to normal prices.

Should be a nice weekend,
Ryan

Right - we need to determine how much Irish blood everyone on Dave's has and will they be celebrating Paddy's day?

Me: No Irish blood at all thus will not be celebrating St Patricks day! Twisted Evil I mean who gives a toss if you are not Irish?

Thanks RyanInKorea.

There is also an Irish Pub in Hyehwa called Red Lion. Not the best in town, but the only one there in Hyehwa. It's near exit 1.

I wonder if the Guinness people will be there this year. In the past, they hand out free samples of Guinness.....but don't sell it. Great logic there, people.

I've always thought that, at 15,000 W for a pint a' Guinness, Dublin in Gangnam was a bit expensive. But 50,000 for 6 1/2 hours eating and drinking? They needn't expect a profit from my ticket... Wink

I'm all kinds of excited, but I don't think anybody I know here would really want to go. Ugh.

that deal for W50,000 sounds great, I would def get in on that if I was there, and i don't even drink. If you are a drinker you should be able to drink and eat at least 4 times that.

and to answer a previous posetrs question, I'm 100% Irish, born and raised.

I know an irish man that doesn't drink....odd Cool

100% irish born and bred. I'll definitely be there.Bringing a South African friend, andso I'm sure there'll be loads of non-Irish people there anyway. 50000 won for all you can eat - I'll be loading up if it's true. Plus it will be great to see Ireland demolish Scotland in the match at 2am.
