I'm curious as to how many PS teachers are scheduled to teach their full, contracted 22 classes per week (or more). Conversely, if some aren't being 'maxed', it'll be interesting to see just how many classes they are scheduled to teach.

I have 21 classes scheduled /week and that's fine with me - I don't want to work at two (or more) schools; and I don't want to teach extra, after school or advanced classes.

So why didn't you vote in the poll?

16 at the most. Normally around 13-14 a week due to random class cancellations, trips, etc.

I voted 22 but 3 of those are teachers' classes so probably more like 19 and a half. The POE is cracking down on random stupid shit, though. So we may have to do those classes.

I voted 22, but one of those "classes" is just supervising a club, another is a special class for 3rd graders that rotates every week, and another is a teacher lesson. So it's really only 19 regular classes, but 22 scheduled hours.

10 regular classes, 12 after school classes, 1 kindie and 1 "special class" (last year I taught a kid 1on1, this year, i'll probably be doing something different, like chess). Total of 24 which gives 2 hours overtime.

Hey cruise, I can totally understand why you'd only want to work at one school, but why wouldn't you want to teach any extra classes? If you've got to be in the building anyway, why wouldn't you take more classes for more cash?

I voted 22 in the poll because that's my contracted workload, but I actually teach 30. All of the 8 extra classes are my choice, and they all fall in normal working hours so I'm still out the door at 4:30 every day.
