I'm trying to jump through hoops here and figure out how to switch around my visa and get my pension at the same time.

Here's the scenario...

I'm on an E2 visa. My visa is up April 13th. I want to stay in Korea for 2 months as a tourist. Then I'm going to switch over to an F2 visa in June.

Is it possible for an American to switch from an E2 to a Tourist visa without leaving Korea?

What would happen if I purchased a one-way ticket home, took it to the pension office and requested my pension back... and then (if its possible) switched directly to a tourist visa, and didn't go home? Would the pension office find out? Would they get pissy about it? I know I can switch the pension over to a private fund, but I need it for my wedding.

I'm not frauding the Pension office, because they're going to give it back. I just don't want to have to waste the money on two one-way flights.
