Are you aware of this site?
http://www.geocities.com/hagwonblacklist/
Yes, there have been threads on this in the past. But, I haven't seen much discussion about it recently despite the various posts of people being mistreated by their hagwons. Since now is the time in Spring with an influx of new teachers I figured now is a good time to remind people of this useful resource. |

Oops. Thanks for pointing that out. I suppose I may as well inquire as to whether anyone knows of a more current blacklist that is active or if anyone is interested in starting one. Despite this one not being active, I think a blacklist is something we need. |

Besides being very outdated there is another issue that must be considered. I have a Chinese friend in China who worked for a private language school. Part of her job was to ferret out as many websites as she could discussing language schools in China and post a. negative feedback about other schools b. post positive feedback about her own school.
Such is life. |

The problem with those lists is they are not kept up to date and you really have to take what is said on them with a grain of salt. The issue of blacklists comes up very often in the forums, but there really is no solution other then to ask the school you are interested in questions and do some research. When the search function is working on here, it can be valuable (and when it isn't, it can make you want to scream).
You might also try this link for a better way to search the site:
