I've done it for a week now. So far its worked out OK. I let them bring their administrative work into class. They do have a calming effect on the class. I think this is part of a new policy to phase out co-teaching.

I'm worried about what's going to happen when I get there... I've been told that my co-teacher's English is not good, and he apparently didn't get along with the girl I'm replacing... I'm hoping it was just a personality clash, I'm ok with the poor English and pretty easygoing, so I figure I probably won't have problems with him.

Many of the schools that are ranked high in English tend to have had lots of foreign English teachers and the students almost always are capable of outspeaking their teachers.

The educaiton industry here has not thanked foreign teachers enough, perhaps because they claim the credit and have taken away the foreign teacher's voice politically through visa requirements (E-2 visa holders can't protest or anything else).

I worked at one PS where the Korean English teacher even taught errors. And pretty much every Korean teacher has interjected their racist propaganda into my classes (I can understand some Korean mind you).

I get so tired of it...
