|
|
I have recently signed up to take a CELTA coure in Seoul and I need the following books for the class:
Jim Scrivener ~ Learning Teaching (second edition) ~ Macmillan
Michael Swan ~ Practical English Usage ~ OUP
Rosemary Aitken ~ Teaching Tenses ~ Nelson
If you have any of these books and are willing to part with them please email me at [email protected] because I check that much more often than I will check this. And before anyone suggests it, I have already checked Kyobo for these books, however I am trying to find them a bit cheaper. Thanks |

Congratulations on taking a month off to enhance your teaching skills and not doing an online TEFL which can't teach in-class concrete experience and skills. Maybe you already did an online TEFL, but you'll quickly find out how ineffectual it was.
Where are you doing your CELTA? The British Council or TTI? |

| I am actually doing the part time course at TTI because I work in the evenings. And yes, I totally agree, after doing a little research, it is easy to see that those online courses are useless!! |

I've got both the Scrivener (Learning Teaching 2nd Ed) and a copy of the Swan (Practical English Usage 3rd Ed).
The Scrivener is in very good condition with just one or two high-lighted markings, while the Swan is slightly dog-eared and with a similar amount of high-lighting.
I paid 18.00 (pounds) for the Scrivener and 19.95 for the Swan. Both are about 2-years old.
Not sure what I want for them tbh as I wasn't planning on selling them just yet, but as you mention these two explicitily, then perhaps you could make an offer.
Additionally, I'm leaving Korea at the end of my contract in August and am planning to sell off all my books (about 30 or so, many of which are part of the Cambridge Handbooks for Language Teachers series and arein excellent, as-new condition. If you'd like to take a look, then PM me your e-mail address and I'll forward you the list.
*Edit* If anyone else is interested in purchashing my books, then PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the list.
I've about:
20 activity books
6 grammar books
A couple of Korean books
I've also got a few side-by-side books as well which I haven't added to the list yet, but will try and add over the weekend. |
