Hi -

I need to get an international ATM card and I know some branches of KB do this, but not in my town. I have to trek to Seoul. I don't know Seoul all that well though I can usually find places. Can someone tell me the closest KB to Seoul Station that will give me an international card?

Thanks

I've tried at several KB* branches, and none of them would give me one. I even had one call head office, who said it was illegal (yeah right).

I'd recommend going to KEB with this document: http://www.keb.co.kr/IBS/nebanking/en/pb/de/ab_111.jsp?vcode=07000000000000&scode=07020100000000&ccode=07020102000000&dcode=07020102020000&

Show it to them and ask them to open a "Global Account" deposit. It worked for me (and yes, the card does work. I used it in Thailand two months ago).

Thanks for the link. I know I saw somewhere that some KB's will do it. Anybody?

I've found that KB goes out of there way to tell me that I can NOT have an international card. I didn't even ask for one. THEY ASKED ME IF I WANTED ONE, I said "Can I get one?", they said no. This happened twice.

Idiots.

Follow that link, KEB will do it, but you might have to prod them a bit. (That's why you need that link.)
