Costco is okay. I just wish I had a store that was closer as to get to my my nearest store in Deagu I have to endure a 40-minute bus ride, then a 20-minute subway ride followed by a 10-minute taxi ride, which makes going there highly impractical. I think membership is about 30,000.
Alternatively, use EZShop and get pretty much the same product lines delivered to your door. |

That website is ridiculously expensive. Do you really use it? |

Umm...EZShop might be a bit more expensive; and you're right, it is steep (check out the price of corned beef and blueberries ) but with Costco you have to buy multipacks on most items. Costco is good if you and a few other FTs shop together, share the bill and then spilt the multipacks down. |

Yeah, once every month or so. It's either that or a long trip to my nearest Costco. Once you factor in the travelling cost and general inconvenience of lugging large bags back home etc, I'd rather pay the extra and get it delivered. It's not a luxury I indulge in every month though, but it's nice to have a few things from home to eat once in a while. I mostly use Homeplus. |

The bacon you see for 25000 is for 4 packs. You keep forgetting at costco you buy in bulk.
I find they are great at buying meat.
I spent 350,000 last month at Costco.
80,000 on Salmon. I got about 20 nice big portions what i break down and freeze.
50k on bacon. 8 packets
AU beef. Shreaded and ground beef 60,000
They do have good deals on computers and a few other things as well.
You can get salsa, tortelias, cheesecake,
Good deals on bulk and imported cheese.
Wine selection is good.
I dont know where you are from but yes they have 3 in Seoul, 1 in Dague and as of may will have one in BUSAN.
I did buy good pots and pans there, cooking oil, printer and other things. |

I second that. All the prices are jacked up. I bought 3 pounds of almonds for 12,000 or 14,000 in the fall. It's over 24,000 on that website. Same stuff. Same with the cheese, the meat. On top of that, you have to pay for shipping. You will pay through the nose but it sure is convenient. |

I bought a membership and it's for two people, so grab someone and split it! I think it was 30,000 or 35,000 won but they gave us either a 10 or 15,000 won coupon when we bought it. The sandwich meats are a tad expensive, but some stuff has decent prices. You can eat at their food court without a membership. Also, HomePlus has started selling things like deli ham and whatnot. It's normally about 10,000 won, but if you wait a while, every month they usually sell it for around 6,000 won. It's perfect for sandwiches.
You can buy a ton of deli meat at coscto, but it's super expensive. Regardless, I love my costco membership for bacon, spaghetti sauce, and cheese. |

I paid 35,000 for our membership here in Daejeon. They gave us a 35,000 coupon so it was a wash. Sometimes I don't like buying in bulk but it sure does make life easier here. They have good produce and meats, most of their dry goods and canned goods are nice. And really, even with a membership fee, you can't beat their food prices.
They also have a great selection of other stuff. Everything from paper and pencils to rubber rafts. Alot of their prices on computer accessories beat just about anything out there.
My only complaint is that items tend to arrive and dissappear without notice. They carried Old ElPaso tx/mex products for awhile then just stopped. Ditto Tomato Soup. I don't know how they go about deciding inventory but is seems hit and miss.
Definitely worth the memberhip in my opinion. |
