I thought you were talking about some famous foreigner from TV with an F4 visa.

I thought that as well. Another reason for people to read the article and not just the headline. Don't worry, I've done it before. "Heroine saves the day!" I failed that weekly news report in middle school...

We all know that in 10 years we still won't know that they were murders. It would take real work from police officers to get that kind of result and I it doesn't look like that's happening~

A little more sympathy and a little less scorn would be appropriate in this situation here. What would you say if a loved one of yours commited suicide?

You're fighting a losing battle here. There are too many people here who would advocate suicidal people to kill themselves, because they really only care about themselves, not someone in pain or with psychological problems. It's part of the Internet, no accountability factor that allows people to become such dickwads towards others. They run rampant here, unfortunately, so you either ignore them or get overwhelmed by them.

There are so many celebrity suicides that Koreans don't care about it anymore. On Friday one of the non-English teachers said something like "they're all dying well" in Korean, in a funny way that whoever heard her had chuckled.

Anyways, I'm guessing 5 more, this year.

Well, depending on how one tallies the number, Jang was either the first or the second, and another one has already followed suit. So very sad.

Singer Takes Own Life

Lee Chang-yong
By Park Si-soo
Staff Reporter

A Korean trot singer was found dead in an apparent suicide, police said Thursday. This is the second entertainer to take their life in March alone following the suicide of actress Jang Ja-yeon last Saturday, and the third this year.

Goyang Police Station said singer Lee Chang-yong was found dead at 3:45 p.m. at his apartment in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province. He was 38.

His girlfriend reported it to the police. A suicide note was found at the scene, police said. ``The note shows the late Lee suffered from snowballing debts,'' a police officer said, adding a recent business failure may be behind the suicide.

He made his debut in 1992 after winning the grand prize at a singing competition. His funeral service is to be held on Saturday at Inje University Paik Hospital in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
