Hi
I was wondering what are the proper English terms for these:

1. Sports Dance

2. Charming Dance

3. Golf rounding

I can guess what they are, but just wana make sure.

Also, which of these sentences would you deem more proper:

a) A tall handsome gentleman
or
b) A handsome tall gentleman

Thanks!

I only have guesses about the Konglish so I'll leave that to someone else.

As far as the other part, I would say A is more proper

but it should be written: A tall, handsome gentleman

commas people! use them!

Not really. You dont need to use "and".

Like, "A pretty, young girl."

The reason why I chose the sentence "A tall, handsome man", is because Ive always used the adjectives in that order, but shouldnt it really be, "A handsome, tall man."

There is a proper order of adjectives, google it, it's useful. "A" is correct.

There is a proper order of adjectives you can find by googling. "A" is correct. And yes, put a comma between them, not "and".

I was always though A was correct as well, however, I always thought the adjective rul was to put "opinion" in front of "fact", or the closest fact before the subject.
Handsome would be an opinion and tall could possibly be as well, but tall would seem to be more factual than handsome. Therefore, shouldnt it be, "A handsome, tall man" ??

well here is the definitive answer which can not be false, the holy bible of grammar if you will. Wikipedia.

Quote:
Adjective order

In many languages, attributive adjectives usually occur in a specific order; for example, in English, adjectives pertaining to size generally precede adjectives pertaining to age ("little old", not "old little"), which in turn generally precede adjectives pertaining to colour ("old green", not "green old"). This order may be more rigid in some languages than others; in some, it may only be a default (unmarked) word order, with other orders being permissible to shift the emphasis.

English has no official order for attributive adjectives, but English students are often taught the mnemonic OSASCOMP, which stands for Opinion, Size, Age, Shape, Color, Origin, Material, Purpose.[1]

So whould handsome be opinion or shape?
