I think i saw a topic before along the same lines, but i'm just wondering what there is to do in seoul (gangnam) that doesn't involve heavy drinking and food after 10pm?

When you are sick of drinking and want to hang out with someone (sort of a date), what have you done, where have you gone, or what would you suggest?

All i can think of so far is bowling and a movie.

Am I the only one who finds posts entitled
"What can I do besides X" curiously sub-intellectual? It's like saying "What can I eat besides fish sticks?"

Sleeping. Or in my case. Plugging in my German style Schuko 230v plug and winding down for a quiet evening of recharging. Wink

Actually, if you ask your adult students that question they usually don't have a good answer. Sometimes they say going to a Noraebang.

South Korea has a drinking culture so I think the question is perfectly legitimate.

What would you do in pretty much any other big city after 10:00? Odds are you can find that here, too.

Among other things. Where else in the world can you play after-hours ping-pong?

Asking Koreans ANYTHING and expecting 1)ANY 2)an original 3)logical answer is like playing craps with THREE dice.

I somewhat disagree, because what you can eat besides fish sticks is a pretty easy to answer question. For someone that may not know a lot about Korea, perhaps it's a legitimate question, especially when the responses from people on the boards tend to all center around drinking and getting laid.

I agree with the other person that anything you can do in another country you can probably find here, but I doubt that the person was really trying to ask what you can do as much as what can you do AND where to do it.
