Do you guys ever send them back before signing with requests that certain aspects be changed or are they a take it or leave it thing in Korea? |

If you don't like something, by all means ask them to change it. Most employers will be willing to negotiate with you. If they're not willing to make the changes, then it's probably not worth signing and you should just move on.
There's no reason to sign a contract you're not happy with. It's not worth the risk. There are so many jobs floating around here. |

Thanks. I made requests, through the recruiter. Still haven't heard back. Who knows what that means? |

Don't wait for the recruiter to get back to you. Keep looking. It's OK to have several offers on the table at the same time and you could even end up rejecting all of them if you don't like them and wait until the right one comes along.
Sometimes recruiters will think you're too much work and move on to the next target. That's OK. You don't want those recruiters.
If you post your resume in the job section on Dave's you'll get many, many calls and e-mails almost instantly. It takes a lot of work, but respond to every e-mail. If you aren't interested in what they are throwing your way, tell them you aren't interested but if they have anything that fits your criteria tell them to let you know. If they send you something you like, ask for a sample of the contract before doing an interview. If you don't like the contract, just tell them you aren't interested in doing an interview and move on. If you see a contract you like, tell them you want to set up an interview and move on from there. If they offer you a job, then negotiate the little things you don't like.
Don't use just one recruiter and don't jump at the first one or two contracts they send your way. There's a lot of crap to sift through when looking for a job here. |
