Is there an easy way to transfer a Vista installation to another HDD without losing any settings? I want to buy a new drive but I don't want to lose current setup.
Thanks |

can't you just ghost it over? I'm sure you can find a copy of ghost on some torrent sites. |

We assume you mean the same computer... yes it can be done... very easily BTW.
Just use a ghost like package, I use Acronis (best in my opinion, but not free) set up the new drive as a slave drive and ghost over, then remove the old drive, plug the new drive in the same port (not necessary, but recommended, especially of IDE) as the old one. |
