|

I will have a short break coming up and am seriously considering taking a short trip to Cebu if the price is right.
anyways - best place to find a fare?
it would HAVE to be Cebu Pacific, no?
I do see cheap flights on 072.com, and whypaymore but I canNOT read Hangul! (and wouldn't know how the hell to book thru them anyways) |

May 1-4 is peak time. no seats but can be on waiting list.
u can check how many seats are available if u click the date.
tickets are good for 90days. better call them. |

The 90-day valid date is true, but many times, you cannot change your return date. |

Why is May 1-4 peak time?
It's 'Golden Week' over here in Japan at that time, so holidays here. But Korea? |

there's a national holiday on the 2nd and on the 5th.
I suspect what many places do is give people a very very long weekend off (that's what's happening with me) |

I'm planning to go to Cebu sometime in early May, if I can get a ticket.
But honestly, some of the terrorist activity around the southern islands scares me a bit.

everything from Korea to the Phillippines between Apr 30 and May 6 is pretty much completely sold out.
it's like the entire phucking Korean peninsula (in reality an island) is flying south for that mini holiday.
maybe these idiots could increase capacity during peak times (which always coincide in Korea)???
nah -- too goddamn OBVIOUS |

So a lot of Koreans go to Cebu? I like Korea and all, but at the end of a contract, I get really burned out on all things Korean. I don't want to look at hanguel, smell kimchi, hear adjosshis spitting, look at the horrible outfits that most K-chicks wear, etc. If I do go to Cebu, I'd rather avoid Koreans at all costs. |

If your not golfing, whoring, or hanging in the malls a lot, then you won't see many koreans except for the occasional tour group in search of kimchi. |

not quite true. You'll see them but not in any massive quantities, although they are a huge part of the clientele at one of the prominent discos in town.
the ones you'll see are the younger ones, the ones who are probably there living and studying English(ee) - you won't see any adjosshis or addjummas in Cebu City - that crowd definitely is all tour groups all the time.
bottom line is you'll see enough of them where you won't able to "forget" about Korea, and its "culture" |
