Anyone have permanent makeup done? Or recommend a place? I had a friend who had permanent eyebrow and eyeliner and all the girls got excited after seeing the results and went and got them done. It'd be nice to wake up every day with makeup on perfect and never have to waste time getting ready again. I saw some ads in subway stations and jimjilbangs but never took the numbers. What are the price ranges? How long do they last?

My mother had cosmetic surgery, permanent eyeshadow and she said it wasn't worth it. It does look nice and it takes away a few minutes every day, but the tattooing hurt bad and her eyes were swollen for a week. She said "if I knew it was going to hurt this much I would have never done it." Then she got the other eye done because it was already half way done, and paid for...

Your choice though. A week or so of pain to have a few extra minutes every morning and not having to think about smears or anything, might be worth it, I'm a guy and I'm not Johnny Depp or Emo so no eyeliner/eyeshadow for me.

Makeup styles change. You don't want to get face tattoos.

I just saw an ad outside my apartment building for permanent makeup. I think they do the eyebrows from what I gathered looking at the pictures. I can't read any Korean so I'm not sure of the name of the place or anything but here's the phone number:

386-7700

Hep C is commonly transferred via tattoo needles - it's lethal and extremely hard to treat. it also can take a decade or longer to show symptoms.

considering sanitation and hygiene methods here are almost non-existent, I'd think twice about it if I were you.

just fair warning, am not going to say anything else.

make up styles change. Eye-brow shape-styles change.

What if they do a crappy job of it? It's not somewhere you can hide it, or get another tattoo design to cover it up... unless you wanna look like a cheap *beep*.

Also... per the above post... HYGINE! Germ theory has completely been skipped in Korea. If the needle doesn't have dirt spots on it... it must be fine. If it does have dirt, just wipe it off.

Doesn't seem worth it. Would never do it. Don't know anyone who has done it.

There was this nutjob douche in Taiwan who was married to this dork German guy with a strange scar on his eye or forehead that looked like someone rammed a gun or something on his face. Anyway, this bag had permanent blue eye shadow and she was ugly.

Agreed. Just ask anyone who though blue eye shadow & pink blush was going to last.
