|
|
I was just offered a job at a private school in Suwon. The interview went great and they offered me 2.5 mil won. Is this a good offer? I am excited about teaching in Korea, but worried about the won. Any thoughts on if now is a good time to head over to Korea, or just stay here in the good ol' USA. |

2.5 is really good for a newbie with no experience.
As for the won, nobody really knows what it's going to do. You're taking a chance no matter which school you end up choosing. |

Not at a regular hagwon. If you're looking to save up as much as possible, work at a test prep hagwon in Gangnam or Apgujeong.
You could also try to work at an international school, but that might be a little harder if you're not in Korea. You may want to try for a university job in the fall, but you'll most likely have to be in Korea to interview for the position. |
