I thought this stuff was a thing of the past, or maybe an urban legend. But I can't believe I actually saw it today. I was at Sadang station at around noon today, Saturday. It was obviously crazily packed with people. On the platform, as I was walking to my transfer, I saw a little tyke, maybe 5 or 6 years old, pissing into a water bottle. There are obviously washrooms around, as we're in the subway station, so I can't figure it out at all.
Here's the weirdest most surreal part of it all; no, the mother didn't cup her mouth around the *beep* and take a drink, the weirdest part of it all was that the woman with the kid was actually white. |

Children do not always give warning on having to go. Sometimes it is now or wet pants.
Why is it surprising they were white? Only "beneath Whitey" Koreans do this? Think before you speak!!!! |

Who said Korean's were beneath whiteys? I think your sub-conscious thoughts are beginning to show.
just kidding buddy.
I'm just surprised because I've never ever seen that before in the west. The fact that it was a white woman doing it was very surprising to me. But I guess it's common these days. |

I do agree with you though. It's either now or wet pants. I just thought I'd post this. |

No worries.
I should apologize also, I just get sick of all the elitist labeling on here. I am sure there will be 25 posts talking about how Koreans are peasants and what not on this thread. Not so much direct at you, but at the usual suspects. |

| After 6+ years in Korea I finally saw this happen. I was in a Dunkin' Donuts the other day and a mom encouraged her son (looked to be about 4 years old) to pee in a bottle. I was right beside them and could hear and understand everything they were saying. The kid wasn't jumping up and down holding his crotch, he just said he had to pee. The mom took and juice bottle off the table and let him go in that. There was a bathroom not 10 meters away. I gave her a disgusted look and pointed it out to her. She just ignored me. |

| It`s not really elitist to point out there`s a washroom within running distance. |

Ask around... how did koreans live 30 or 40 years ago...
Koreans are fairly new to the whole lady and gentlemen style of living.
America, coming from british roots! have a long history with it..
to koreans its fairly new, but its changing..
Still don't hear of koreans throwing their New born children in trash cans! After giving birth in a bar the mother walks out of the bathroom to the bar to finish her beer!
quite common back home isnt!? |
