Would like some info please.
My boyfriend's Navy ship is pulling into Busan..1330 says it is 4 plus hrs to Suwon and about 25,000 won to 37,000 won..then Suwon to Gwangju..
Trip is not so easy..5 plus hrs each way and only has a couple of days..
rather be in my own apt.
Any concrete ideas as to how to get here faster from the Busan port?
Also..how far would it be from Busan to Osan or Yongsan bases and we could then stay at the base lodging? I am only an hr or so from Yongsan..unsure about Osan. |

He can take the KTX (2.5 hrs to Seoul) and you can stay at Yongsan.
Alternatively, bus from Busan to Seongnam (Yatap station) and a #17 bus takes you to downtown Gwangju. |

Yeah, I agree with the poster above. When I lived in Gwangju I found that going over to Yatap to take an bus was quite faster.
Just incase you don't know take bus 300 from Gwangju and then go to the Themopolis (i think it is called that) and the bus station is inside.
There are special bus lanes from Yatap where as from Gwangju the bus must share lanes with regular traffic. |
