I am a high achiever, mostly from pure talent. I guess the thoughts of being a loser will cross my mind once I start teaching in Korea. It sounds like most people are quite happy with their ESL life in Korea. Very Happy

Then you can do much better than K-land. The only thing holding you back is your lack of modesty... looser! Wink

Yep, Korea brings that out in me to. Maybe from a need for external validation from all the achievement? There's not so much of that here...

Define the goal. If, in order to win, we're all supposed to be rich and banging NFL cheerleaders then we are all the deepest of loose losers.

If the goal is to be happy. . . erm, this message board still looks a bit shaky on those grounds.

Ok, ok, if the goal is to waste time on an internet message board, we all get gold medals.

If you describe yourself as a "high achiever from pure talent", you're a loser.

If you think about being a loser, you're a loser.

Double whammy!

Pfft, everyone knows it's cooler to be an underachiever. Aim low and you hit it every time.

If, at the end of the day, how you feel about yourself as a person is strictly tied to how you make a living, then yes you are..
