Well, here's what you do:

The three magic plants are:
"The Living Room Plant"
Areca Palm
(Chrysalidocarpus lutescens)
"The Bedroom Plant"
Mother-in-law's Tongue
(Sansevvieria trifasciata)
"The Specialist Plant"
Money Plant
(Epipremnum aureum)
With those three plants you can live in a sealed bottle and still breathe great air.

This is AWESOME. I plan on staying in Seoul for a long, long time, so this is exactly what I need. |

very interesting - I have always had those 3 plants (Epipremnum aureum, Areca Palm, Sansevvieria trifasciata) in all apartments that I have lived.
I always liked those 3 plants and always thought they were the most common and cheapest plants and easiest to take care of in apartments). |

This is all well and good, but did anyone watch the video? The guy says you need at least:
4 shoulder-high Areca Palms per person
6-8 waist high Mother-in-Law's Tongues per person
I dunno about you, but I don't have that much room in my studio. |

PeteJB here is a tip on how to eliminate fruit flies and all of the fungus etc that arises from the dirt here. If you have an oven, put your dirt in the oven at high heat for about 30 minutes. The heat will sterilize your dirt and kill anything that might affect your plants.
I had a fruit fly problem, but that tip from my aunt eliminated all of my soil problems.  |

True, but if you look at the part about the building that he owns they say there are 1200 plants for 300 employees, so the benefits he lists off happen at only 4 plants per person. The other numbers are what would be absolutely ideal. Having a single one of each of these plants (big ones) would still be a vast improvement. |

Hi There,
I was dubious about getting them in Korea...but after watching this I went to the corner shop and found beautiful affordable areca palms...wonder about the others...
It will be a vast improvement so thankyou! |

Venta is a German manufacturer. They are pricey but definitely worth it for a long-term stay in Seoul.
Available at Costco, I believe. There are also many competing brands, some of them quite good. |
