Hey guys,

I've just been informed by my co-teach, who was phoned by Busan Office, that because I missed orientation around the 19th Feb, I'll have to attend EPIK orientation 26th-28th March in Seoul.

Anyone else doing this?

I expected it but maybe a bit later.

I want to learn how I can trash a hotel with a fire extinguisher and still keep my job. Only in Korea can you act like a rock star and get away with it.

Well co-teach has come through with the details so I'll tie this up anyway.

Registration 26th, finishes in the afternoon on the 30th. At the Korean National Open University.

Will be enjoying such delights as a 'Korean Drum Performance' and 'Survival Korean Lessons'. I presume it's just the same as the original orientation was.

You're going to attend orientation on the weekend?

The original orientation is a week. They try to cram in everything in two days, on the weekend. You start around 7 in the morning and finish around 9 or 10 at night. It's standard for those that arrived late and missed the first one. We had a lot of fun, we got smashing drunk despite having little to no time to sleep, introduced the newbs to soju and generally wrecked ourselves for an entire weekend. This behavior was more or less encouraged by all involved. I think we might have learned something in there somewhere.

Yea, but all in I miss Thursday, Friday and Monday at school so it doesn't seem too bad...

Sounds good Bob.
