heard good reports, but never been. Be grateful if anyone could provide me with some info (name and directions) or any suggestions about what you thought to be particularly good on their menu, if you've been. |

It's called Everest. It's down one of the first alleys as your exiting Dondaemun station (not to be confused with Dongdaemun Stadium station) heading towards Dongmyo station.
The food and drink is very reasonably priced. I don't remember any English description of what the dish was, but there were English names.

Or you can just get off at Dongmyo Ap Station. It's at the top of exit 8. 2F.
It's very yummy...hmmm, maybe there are a few Everest Restaurants around.
Incidentally, I spotted another Everest Nepalese restaurant right by Yeongdeungpo Station (Line 1). Haven't tried it yet, but must be similar as it probably caters to the foreign factory workers in the area. It's on the same side as Yeongdeungpo Station in the direction of Sindorim Station. |

Yes...to get to Everest, I think you take exit 1 out of Dongdaemun and take the first left. The restaurant is on the right - 2nd floor. Great food, and the price is pretty good, too. [/b] |

everest is great, but it has grown ridiculously popular over the past few years. a reservation may be necessary if you don't want to que for awhile on a saturday evening. god, i miss the days when no one was EVER there! the food was much better then too! where the hell did all you people come from!?!
if you get there and decide you can't handle the wait, head over to exit 5 of dongmyo station where you'll find namaste. they're nearly as good and actually have a larger menu. it's a nicer place, wood floors, better for dates, etc. reasonably priced in comparison too. maybe slightly more expensive than everest.
by the way, everest is closest to exit 3 at dongdaemun station. head out the exit, take the first left at the pharmacy, then take your first right. everest is on the second floor of the building that is jutting out after the right turn. |

Ah, that's right. It's Namaste at Dongmyo Station. I love the food there.
Now, everyone who reads this thread must self-destruct, so I can have it all to myself without having to wait in line. |

i know! what was i thinking! i can only hope that the fact that namaste has two locations will spread people out a bit. durga, which has a a few branches, including one in uijeongbu, isn't bad either. not in dongdaemun though.
here are some links for those of you who are unfamiliar with seoul. do yourselves a favor and pass on places like ta palace and the foreign restaurant in itaewon.
