which version of the US? lincoln killed off the version washington fought for. ah yes, using a military draft (forced servitude) to end slavery (forced servitude). followed by another version with the creation of federal income tax. and another when the US went off the gold standard.

the present day US version has been bankrupt and running on fumes for a long time.

the end of the US? not yet, but another, newer (and worse) version is right around the corner with the govt setting limits on how much you can earn and govt seizing businesses.

TEXAS Nation, Republic of, will finally denounce its unlawful annexation to the not-so United States and be fine.

If that happened, you'd be crushed under the of stampede of well-armed Central Americans. They got the guns AND the numbers. Y'all just got guns.

Was chattin with my mom on the phone and she said several states are going to attempt to split off as indepedent countries. She mentioned California and Texas. I don't listen to those radio talk shows she does, but what she says is unsettling to say the least.

I don't know what to make of it all other than there are big takers who are not moving and shaking much profitability and jobs for the country. Non-performing leaders with a populace that's been complacent for too long is my explaination. Also, while America has freedom of speech, who's listening?

Most of us here still think of ourselves as Texians, also known as Texicans.
Our beef was with Santa Anna, and he's out of the picture now.
How'd we be crushed? Where's the stampede headed? To Oklahoma?

I guess the stampede would head to the same place it is now--the US border. If you are south of that border, look out!

You have my curiosity piqued. Could you please provide a diagram
since you can't communicate effectively?

Now, the US border is the Rio Grande. So if Texas seceded, Mexicans, and all Central Americans would stampede to the river?
I've only been south of that border on vacations and pleasure trips.
I'm sorry. I really don't understand.

Well, i was jokingly suggesting that Texas couldn't exist for long, indepedent of the US, and that it would become a new state of Mexico. I was kidding around though... I figure Texas could survive as a country, probably.
Anyway; if Texas did secede, how would it be different--economically, politically or socially--from how it is now? Obviously there would be some changes, but what do you think they would be?

The US is a drain on the planet. I'm no tree hugger.
I mean that Texas and all other colonies of the American Empire would be better off as sovereign nations.
We Texas Secessionists hear so often, "Good riddance" and such,
but our biggest problem will be illegal immigration from Yankland.
