I want to make my girlfriend some chocolate chip cookies. I do not have an oven but wanted to use my toaster oven. I've been looking on google but haven't found any good recipes. I was wondering if any of you could share a good cookie recipe or two. |

If you live in Seoul, there are plenty of import shops that sell Betty Crocker cookie mix. Just add softened (not melted) butter, an egg, mash it up, bake 'em and they come out great.
The Hannam Supermarket also sells Pilsbury cookie dough in tubes. I have to stay away from that because I end up eating half the damn thing raw. |

Anyone have any Korean Cookie recipes?
I've been playing around with the idea of adding denjan to a cookie or some kind of brownie...
Denjan takes like peanuts and I'm curious to see how the mix would go. |

I'm down here in Mokpo. I'll check Home Plus after school to see if they have anything I can use. I agree about the raw dough. Most of it ends up in my stomach before it even hits the cooking tray. |

One of the hardest things to come by here for good cookies is vanilla extract. I know of a few shops that carry it, but they're all in Seoul.
Wish I could help you out more. |

You can buy a crystallized vanilla as well... looks like table sugar but with a yellowish tinge to the color. If you do use this, be generous with the amount you use. Its nowhere near as strong as extract. |

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question, but you can make cookies in the TO in exactly the same way as in the normal oven. Just.. make less batter and buy a smaller cookie sheet, or do it in a few batches.
Emart in my city sells cookie mix and cookie batter, but a basic chocolate chip recipe from the internet will work fine, very simple ingredients. This is a good foolproof one that I've used before: http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1683595
Good luck! |

this is *the* chocolate chip cookie recipe.

If you can't find the vanilla, leave it out- it won't be quite as good, but the difference is pretty subtle.
Korean grocery stores also sell small foil trays with lids for camping or whatever (down the same aisle with cling wrap) and those are perfect if you want to try baking a cake or brownies. |
