(He She) is constantly treating you like a newbie and keeps telling you how shy Korean students are.

(He she) tells you that the boy who said" Fvck you"! doesn't really know what it means.

(He She) actually thinks that people in the West actually use the pigeon English that appears in the textbook.

( He She) thinks that all noisy classes are bad even when they are noisy in English.

(He She)shows a really dry section of the textbook to you, and wants you to make it into a game, and the class starts in five minutes.

Waits until the farewell party to give you some genuinly good advice.

Your co-teacher won't let you get a word in, so you're basically getting paid to play with a ball of stickey-tac for 40 minutes while she mispronounces every third sentence...

(Not that I'm complaining... I love my ball of stickey-tac, lol)

...When she translates instructions into Korean and the students understand less than they did when you used English.

When your students tell you that your co-teacher has 2 nick names: mouse and ant.

Incidentally his contract did not get renewed after his first year. He thinks it's because "The principal doesn't like me and I don't know why."

Ummm...actually it's because you are U-S-E-L-E-S-S!

my friends school as an English Land and they have a painting on the wall of the ocean and ocean creatures. The label for the crab, in paint, is crap.

spell check that stuff people!

Priceless.

I once had a student tell me that he wanted to work for the National Erection Committee. Boy, now that's a great job! I wonder what the entry qualifications are. I can just see them all lining up and being measured???????

I like this thread because it shows how useless Korean english teachers really are. Don't tell or even hint at this to them, because they will be discouraged and not be sparklers; korea is sparkling.

When they base their success on their co-workers attitudes and abilities and then come on to Dave's an whine about how they can't do their job because their co-teacher sucks. ......Oh wait, that sounds a lot like me. Shocked Confused Shocked Laughing Laughing Laughing Embarassed Laughing Cool Confused Shocked Cool

A good co-teacher can make a world of difference in the classroom, but at the same time you have to do the best you can with what you've got.

Not always easy, I know, but complaining won't help much. You have to be proactive and find ways to make things work better with whomever you are stuck with.

you arrive at the airport with no one to pick you up, because the coteacher thinks you're coming the next day?

she drags her feet getting the ARC card processed, and when she does she puts down the wrong dates and addresses on your card, so the got thinks you live in the wrong city?

she slaps you on a Friday, after one of your many arguments on a Thursday over a seemingly minor issue?

she's upset because you call yourself "DR McDREAMY" after seeing her download episodes of "Greys Anatomy" onto her portable harddrive, on the school system's network?

I really do hate my old coteacher..... if only some evil revenge scheme comes to me, so she REALLY loses some face... Evil or Very Mad
