I've only seen 62 of them. I don't foresee watching the others anytime soon.

43, I could die happily not having seen Titanic. I don't see how this is really any different than say, the IMDB top 250.

I would like to see these movies added

Quadrophenia

The Omega man

Deliverance

Slaughter House Five

Lolita

The Lost Horizon(old)

The Son of Godzilla

Death Race 2000

The Creature from the Black Lagoon

Godzilla( The original staring Raymund Burr)

Pretty much anything that was shown on Elwy Hosts " Magic Shadows"
or " Saturday Night at the Movies". I don't know many people who are old enough to remember this. It was popular in the seventies.

Pretty much anything that is regulary shown at Reg Hartts Cineforum.
Sorry if your not a Torontonian you might not know.

I would like to see more silent films on the list, Nosferatu is nice and all but there are other films they could review and recommend. As for a number of the films on the list especially Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Die Hard, Lord of the Rings, Titanic, and The Matrix these films really shouldn't be on anyone's must see list. Comparing them to classics like The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, or It's A Wonderful Life is simply ridiculous.

I haven't seen:
All About Eve
The Battle of Algiers
Bringing Up Baby
Duck Soup
Lawrence of Arabia
The Sound of Music
To Kill a Mockingbird
The World of Apu

I've seen some/most of:
It's a Wonderful Life
Animal House
Rebel Without a Cause
Roman Holiday

That leaves me 88 unqualified "seen"s. Spielberg was the big winner with 5 on the list. Seems like their choice of films has more to do with modern American popular culture literacy than with great film. Happy to see 8 1/2 made it though. That's my personal favorite. A nod to Herzog, Tarkovsky, and Bunuel would have been nice. And in any kind of just world Sullivan's Travels would beat out The Lady Eve, and we'd find Gummo on there too.

I remember when NBC Saturday Night at the Movies debuted. 1961. It was a novel concept, 2 straight hours of home entertainment. The network would plug the movie of the week all week long & the family would gather eagerly around the old b&w RCA console to watch. Good times.

I seldom watch movies anymore.

I've seen about 68 of them. Some, like Titanic, Die Hard and The Matrix should not be on the list. Notice how many of the newer ones are there because of special effects?
