Does anyone know of one? I've been out in Cheolsan-dong a few times, but I haven't found a local watering hole I like yet.

It really doesn't have to be Western, nor in Gwangmyeong really, but I'd like someplace where getting a cocktail wasn't a huge issue, and wasn't too many subway stops away.

Thanks.

Depends on what you drink, but there are like 10398u610938610936813 bars in the cheolsan downtown area. If you are drinking pitchers of beer, i'd recommend Garten Bier. If you want a variety of bottled beers, then i would say WA Bar. If you'd like a nice atmosphere and an overpriced cocktail, check out Noori Bar.

Thanks.

I went to the Sunset bar with some friends, and getting a cocktail proved way more difficult than it has elsewhere.

I'll try out WA bar next time- isn't Garten Bier more of a restaurant? I just want a place where I can get a drink either after work or as a meeting place before going out on the weekends.

Yeah, the menu at sunset is in korean and it doesn't have pictures. Garten Bier is set up like a restaurant, but each of the booths have a refridgerated cup holder...so you order a pitcher of beer and they bring you metal mugs that fit in the cupholders and they stay cold the entire time. Pretty good concept.. They have food there, but i've never ordered any..

Thanks for the heads-up.

Anything else you'd recommend/warn me about the area?
