Hi
My name is Julian Knight. I have a bachelor's degree from South Africa.I am an English teacher at a Middle School in South Korea. I am a holder of an E2 visa and teach at a school in Gyyeonggi Province (GEPIK)
I have a fiance in South Africa with a 4 year diploma at a community college and it states in the new GEPIK 2009/2010 Application form and new GEPIK 2009/2010 contract that she is eligible to teach English in Korea. I spoke to GEPIK spokesman last year December 28th and she said yes, she is eligible to come to Korea. She is really good with kids, in fact she's a nurse at a childrens hospital. She'll make a really good elementary teacher.
Could anyone tell me if she can get an E2 VISA to teach in Korea with me? If not where can we apply to teach together?
Thanks
Julian Dean Knight |

Her degree will have to say 'bachelor's' to be eligible. A BSc in nursing will do but not a general diploma in nursing.
If she does squeak by, EPIK will often accommodate couples and English camps / villages generally love couples (they get two housing allowances but only have to provide one apartment and some old suit can pocket the extra). |
