Join the queue--That's the sort of item that if posted here, attracts a ridiculous bidding war. You might as well look for something on auction or ebay.
(That said, if anyone has an old Pavoni lying around, I want it!) |

Who needs an espresso machine when you can get one of these:

I'm not quite sure why they have coffee beans in the picture.
Actually, real pump espresso machines are not so overpriced in Korea, any more. Here's a cheap one:

I'm not sure whether it is a glorified Mr. Coffee or a cheap spec Saeco from the picture, but my guess is the later, given it is made in Italy. It's got some plastic on the portafilter, and might have a plastic case around the boiler, but it could still be a good deal. I've seen a plastic Saeco, and the innards are the same as the basic model. As to the pressurized portafilter, not having that is a big plus.
There was a time when I might have bought this. It's nice to be able to get little luxuries in Korea. But I am using an AeroPress now, which is like a manual espresso, but in one way it is better: you can control the water temperature precisely.
I also am doing cold brew, and this will be especially nice in the summer, as it is the key to iced coffee.
But I am repeating myself:

Here's the coffee brewer section for gmarket:

You can also type in espresso to narrow it down. There are other machines. And for the unwashed, avoid the cheap steam espressos. You want a pump espresso machine.
With the exchange rate, the prices aren't bad at all, viewed in dollars. Sometimes they have that Wiswell one in combo with a nice electric oven. |

Gawd, buy one of those coffee machines for home?
You may as well put a crack vending machine in your kitchen!
