If anybody if interested, a church service is held in English at Jae-il Church in Anyang (1st Presbyterian Church). Its at 2:00 pm every Sunday. Its not one of the major church services (only about 50-60 people attend), but rather designed to attract foreigners and their families, and develop a sense of community beyond the boundaries of Korean people and culture.
Im NOT trying to proselytize here, and I know there must be several churches that offer English services. Just giving the info on the chance that someone in the area is looking for a church to attend. I have known some of the people involved during my time here and they are very friendly. The pastor is down-to-earth, and was educated in the U.S.
Jae-il Church is near the 1st street area in Anyang, a block or two away from the 2001 Outlet (heading towards the small river that divides the town). It is a huge church. The service is held in a lecture room on the first basement floor. If you want better directions, send me a message. |
