No classes today for me. What a nice little break as I feel weak with a nasty cold right now anyhow. I wonder how often class cancelations will occur? I asked for a semester calendar or annual schedule, but they can't give me that as they said they don't have one.

It's a national standards exam. Has no effect on their grades. All the middle schools are being tested. Not sure about high schools though...

They are usually in Korean, so the benevolent admins want to spare themselves the hardship of having to translate the days or explain to you what is going on

It DOES exist, however.

I'm at a high school, and I teach 5 m-f-ing classes today!! I guess that was the test we had on March 10th.

But we DO have mid-terms all week, the week of April 20th I believe. All high schools are on the schedule, I think...

My co-teacher said the students are having a diagnostic test today. I asked her what kind of test that is and she said..."Don't you know?" Later I looked it up and I only found the term used medically. She insisted that America also uses that term and even at colleges.

Whatever, I know I never took on in college in the mid/late 90's. I also know I never tood the SAT's. As far as grade/high school, I don't know what they called the tests I took.

Mid-terms are April 20-22, May 6-8 there is a camping trip. May 5th is a holiday! Very Happy
