So in class we were going to do The Raven, so I get out an audio mp3 of the poem and I'm about to hit a hotkey for "play iTunes", but hit the hotkey for "play VLC".

The only problem with that is that I had a Japanese porn flick paused in VLC, and it started playing through the speakers in the room, which were on high. I panicked and paused it again, but only after 5 seconds of "ittai...kimochi" and some very loud sucking. The students laughed their assess off for about 20 seconds, but a couple looked shocked.

I'm going to get fired, right?

Today I was playing Phonics Monsters with my students and for the first time ever both 'shit' and 'shat' randomly came up. It was quite funny explaining the present and past tenses of that particular verb.

This is a terrible thing to have happen to anyone in a position like yours, OP. It could very well happen to anyone [who watches Japanese porn (and this does include me)], and I sympathize.

But it's still hilarious, and I'm going to tell it to everyone I know.

Same happened to me. I just stopped the video and told them it was next week's lesson. I also asked for volunteers to help me prepare, quite a few hands went up. Next week's lesson will be titled 'April Tool'.

If you use your ipod/mp3 etc in your classroom - its best not to have porn on it..

besides if it was half-way through the porn flick - why did you just pause it and then use your ipod/mp3 in class - its usually best to just delete it

I made a mistake about 4 years ago - in a grede 6 Public school classroom

the kids were all doing some work - so I sat down to use the internet and forgot the Television was still on behind me (showing all the grade 6 kids what I was doing on the internet)..

I actually wanted to quickly look at "WorknPlay" website

and made the mistake of typing www.worknplay.com

(instead of www.worknplay.co.kr)

immediately all the porn from www.worknplay.com came up on the tv and the boys were suddenly very interested and excited - whilst the girls were horrified..

I immediately closed the site down - and told the students it was their Korean teachers fault - because it was the korean teachers computer - and I don't know how the porn popped up..

the students bought it - and never told a soul..

today, i had 2 middle school girls come to the teacher's office asking about colons, and semicolons, periods and commas.

so i googled semicolon, so they can get the definition. then i googled colon, but minimized the screen when as within milliseconds, i realized the implications of seeing pictures of a colon come up on the screen.
