Where were the North Koreans in the box. That goal was merited, but the defense was lacking severely.

As opposed to the high octane thrills and breakneck pace of, for example, baseball I suppose?

The ball was punched by a N.K. defender in the box, throwing the gk off. Also, N.K. was not given a deserved goal when replays showed the ball had clearly gone over the line.

At least they finally ended that series of "ties" that were OBVIOUSLY arranged before the games started.

Several of the Korean fans around me were either amused or annoyed at my cheers of "Kim Chi.....WOOOOOOOO!" when he subbed in, and again when he scored the game winner.

Probably thought you were a *beep*.

Can you imagine what an idiot a foreigner would sound at home if he shouted someone's name over and over because it sounded like hamburger, or another popular foodstuff?

The only thing that kept another tie from happening (short of sudden death of some sort) was the Nork guy swatting the ball into the goal.
