I've found that I prefer comic sans for teaching. While I wouldn't write a resume or thesis using it, it seems to be the closest to the way we actually write the letter by hand. That is to say that most people don't wite t's and a's the way they are represented in the most common printed fonts. |

For my studies, assignments etc, Arial.
In my classroom PPT slides, usually italicized Impact, but peppered with Bradley Hand ITC.
Umm...that's about it. |

I use a lot of Arial and Arial Black, just because it's so nice and easy to read, plus there aren't any serifs to confuse the kids. There are a few 6-year-olds in my class who add crazy flourishes to m's and n's, probably as a result of trying to copy Times New Roman or something.
If you're ever searching for interesting new fonts, though, I'd recommend dafont.com -- nice handwritten-looking type, themed typefaces for different units, and so on. |
